I'm Blogging Now!

If you’ve been to my website in the past couple of weeks, you noticed some changes. I was finally able to transfer my site and domain away from Wix and move it all over to my Payhip shop.

Though a part of me misses my first website, it does feel good to have a fresh start—and with a site that is more user friendly! I can’t tell you how many times I would get frustrated trying to move an image on a page and making sure everything aligned and was the same size. All I need to do now is upload my book image and it has a place to go!

I’ve also started to use Payhip’s blog feature. It’s not a fancy blog, and I don’t know how often I’ll update it. I have a bad history with blogs, always starting them and then abandoning them. But I do occasionally want a place to put my thoughts out into the world, something more than just a social media post. So if you’re interested in listening to me ramble, check it out.

The only thing I don’t like about the blog is that you can’t subscribe to it. You can subscribe to my newsletter or follow my shop, but I don't think there's a way to email blog posts to people. I can send out an email to customers though. Maybe that's something Payhip is working on, I don’t know. Payhip isn’t really a blog-first platform, and as sporadic as I may update, I’m fine with that. I do find it easy to use, easier than blogs I’ve had on other sites, so I’ll keep it for now. If nothing else, it’ll drive some traffic to my website. Plus, you can leave a comment on a post if you desire.
